I have been waiting for this book to be published for a while now, and I have to say it was so worth the wait! Mysery is from 20's, suddenly finding herself thrown into modern day London, a world of vivid colors, machines, tall buildings and where being different is not acceptable. The one stranger who befriends her is Richard, who looks past her drab, colorless appearance, makes her feel safe, protects Mysery and shows her the beautiful sites of London ( thank you, Mr. Thomas for your impeccible attention to detail! I felt like I was really there taking in the sites right along with Mysery) Amid stares and snide comments from his peers, Richard shows her that "different" doesn't matter...or DOES it? I truly enjoyed this book, and although I am unsure if Mr. Thomas intended for it or not, it really did make me think about how we treat others, and how a simple act of friendship can mean so much more. Which left me thinking, could YOU let go of someone if you knew it was the right thing to do? I will warn you, have some tissues handy:)
